Much success, new work!

We’ve been quiet on the website for much of the COVID era, but great things have been happening with Epiphyticinema. Our documentary short Made in SA – New Music, New Musicians has been screened at three festivals over the last year: Children Short Film Festival in Paris, Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival in India, and Atlanta Children’s Film Festival in Georgia. And it will be screened again at the San Diego International Kids’ Film Festival this year. Meanwhile our feature documentary SA24 – Two Dozen Songs from Now has now been screened twice, first at the Erie International Film Festival and most recently in our hometown at the 2022 San Antonio Film Festival. And as if all that weren’t enough, we have a new experimental short: a collaboration between poet and artist Octavio Quintanilla and composer Ken Metz with video work by Kevin Salfen, featuring Maura Navarrete Bojalil. It’s called Canciones del toro, and you can watch the trailer here. Enjoy!
